Blue Tag Media has selected Radio.Cloud to localize and distribute its four hour nationally syndicated program The Jeff Foxx Show.

“Jeff Foxx is a seasoned radio professional and his daily work ethic is one to be admired by his peers in broadcasting,” Blue Tag Media CEO Mike Love commented. “Jeff brings his lovable presentation and entertaining knowledge of R&B music to our affiliates around the country each weekday. And now with Radio.Cloud, each affiliate will receive a localized version of his national show.”

Radio.Cloud Heads to Amsterdam for IBC 2023

Radio.Cloud continues its year of firsts, exhibiting for the first time at its own booth at the upcoming International Broadcasting Convention (IBC) in Amsterdam.

“We’ve added so many new features to our platform this year alone,” said CEO and Founder Christian Brenner. “IBC is the perfect chance to show broadcasters from all over the world how Radio.Cloud is using and taking advantage of AI.”

The event runs Friday September 15 through Monday September at the RAI in Amsterdam, and the Radio.Cloud booth is 8.D77 located in Hall 8.

Radio.Cloud Utilizing AWS Lambda to Improve Workflows

Four years ago, Radio.Cloud went on-air with its first customer the BLR in Munich, Germany. The BLR is the largest audio syndicator in the German speaking market, distributing different news reports to more than 100 stations daily. Originally, CEO and Founder Christian Brenner developed a platform called NewsStar because the BLR couldn’t distribute all versions of the news reports in a flexible and reliable way using traditional satellite delivery.

“15 years ago, the concept behind NewsStar was similar to the goal that we have with Radio.Cloud today: provide ultra-localized syndicated content to affiliates,” Brenner recalled. “NewsStar focuses only on national, regional and local news and weather reports. At that time we had four on-prem racks full of servers to operate that system.”

“What Christian’s team developed for us around 2005 was groundbreaking for the radio market,” said BLR managing director Sebastian Steinmayr. “It actually put us into a totally different position on the market.”

“We’re pumped to get back up north to CCBE,” remarked Account Director Andrew Scaglione. “It was one of my favorite events last year and is truly like a family reunion. Excited to continue to spread the word about cloud-native automation and our capabilities.”

Radio.Cloud Caps Off 2023 NAB Show With Two Awards

For the second straight year, Radio.Cloud walked away from the NAB Show with two awards.

The German company, which created the industry’s first fully cloud-native automation platform, showed off a new design for it’s Live Studio platform. That software was subsequently recognized for two different awards: Best of Show by Radio World and NAB Show Product of the Year in the Radio category.

“We had countless exciting discussions with radio programmers and engineers about our newest features,” CEO and Founder Christian Brenner said. “The feedback was very encouraging for us – we are on the right track. Things like our award winning Live Cloud Studio and our Voicetrack.ai platform impressed our visitors.”
